How to find and manage files on your Samsung Galaxy device
Your Galaxy device provides several ways to download, find, and manage files. You can organize content, copy or move items to different storage locations, transfer files to a PC, and create or manage folders to keep your storage organized. Follow the steps below to locate downloaded files and manage your content efficiently.
How to find downloaded files
The My Files app automatically categorizes your files by type. Downloaded content is stored in the Downloads category.
Note:
- Most downloaded files can be opened through the My Files app.
- Some protected media files may only open in their respective apps due to copyright restrictions.

Note:
- On websites with restricted scripts, the Download option may be disabled or limited.
- If the download does not start, check your internet connection or available storage space.
- For safety, download files only from trusted websites.
How to copy or move files to external storage
If your Galaxy device supports an SD card or is connected to USB or SD storage using OTG, you can move or copy files from internal storage to external storage.
