Wi-Fi calling lets you make and receive calls over a Wi-Fi network when cellular coverage is weak or unavailable. It can improve call quality, making it easier to hear the other person and be heard.
Note: We recommend setting your Roaming network preferences and updating your Emergency address to ensure Wi-Fi calling works properly.
- During a call, press the Volume buttons on the side of your phone to adjust the call volume. If you have trouble hearing the other person, increasing the call volume may help.
- If the call volume is still too low during a conversation, you can tap Speaker to switch the audio to the loudspeaker. This can make it easier to hear the other person, especially in quiet environments.
Note:
- Network conditions: Call quality can vary depending on your cellular signal strength or network congestion.
- Environment: Background noise or a noisy location can make it harder to hear the other person during a call.
- Carrier limitations: Call clarity may depend on your wireless provider and local network coverage.
- Device position: Holding the phone away from your ear or covering the speaker may reduce the sound level.
Follow these steps to customize sound and vibration settings on your Galaxy phone:
- Sound: Enables sound and vibration for calls and notifications.
- Vibrate: Enables vibration only for calls and notifications.
- Mute: Disables sound and vibration, keeping the phone silent for calls and notifications.
- Tap Vibrate while ringing to turn vibration on or off for incoming calls when your phone is in Sound mode.
- Tap Ringtone to adjust the ringtone volume and choose a sound for incoming calls.
- Tap Call vibration to adjust vibration intensity and select a vibration pattern.
